It gets deep in the pleats to clean the filter fast, I would say about 10 times faster than just a garden hose nozzle. It is made out of aluminum so it will last a really long time and the valve is a turn valve, instead of a pull valve like on the garden nozzles so it wont wear out like those other ones.
